I'd book this if you want lunch and the Boca do Inferno walk. The electric van carries up to eight guests. You also visit Lagoa do Fogo. It takes 8 hours and starts at €85 per adult.
The walk takes about 20 minutes each way. That's the part I'd plan around. You also visit Mosteiros' lava pools. Lagoa do Fogo is the final stop.

Meet at your agreed pickup point by 09:00. Allow up to 20 minutes for the pickups.
- Pico do Carvão and Lagoa do Canário
Stop at Pico do Carvão for views of both coasts. Continue to Lagoa do Canário.
- Boca do Inferno and Sete Cidades
Walk to Boca do Inferno. Then stop at Vista do Rei above the lakes. Continue around the Sete Cidades caldera.
- West and north coast
Stop at Escalvado before walking along the Mosteiros coast. Continue to Pedras Negras. Pass through Ribeira Grande before stopping at Ponta da Cintrão.
- Lagoa do Fogo 20 min
The final stop is at Lagoa do Fogo in the central highlands.
- Hotel return
The van returns you to your hotel within the selected pickup areas.
