Plan your visit
Getting around
Corvo is 6.24 km long and up to 3.99 km wide. Cara do Índio is a linear walk of 10.3 km. Plan how you’ll get back before starting.
How long to stay
The Caldeirão walk takes 2 hours 30 minutes. I’d leave extra time for the village and its windmills. Include another 3 hours if you also want Cara do Índio.
Best time
Both marked trails are open now. I’d check the live airfield weather before a Caldeirão visit.

I live in Portugal and I love these islands. The weather here is read live from IPMA stations; prices and tour details come from Viator, dated on each page.
