Privacy policy
This is a simple static site that collects as little about you as it can. This page says who runs it, what little is processed, and how to exercise your rights.
Who runs this site
The site is edited by Roman Antonov. [placeholder: the legal operator and data controller — name or company, address and a contact email — must be named here before launch; this is required in the EU.]
What is processed
There is no login, no account and no form that asks for your personal details.
The site uses analytics to see which pages are read and roughly where readers come from. Depending on the tool, that can include technical data such as an approximate location, device and browser — which may count as personal data under EU law. [placeholder: name the analytics tool and list exactly what it stores.]
Why, and the legal basis
The only purpose is to understand what is useful and improve the pages. [placeholder: state the legal basis actually relied on — legitimate interest, or consent where the tool or cookies require it.]
Cookies and consent
The site sets no advertising cookies of its own. [placeholder: list any analytics or functional cookies in use; where consent is required, optional cookies and trackers must be blocked until you agree, via a consent banner.]
Where the links take you
Tour links go to Viator, which has its own privacy policy and sets its own cookies once you arrive. Weather comes from IPMA and trail status from the Visit Azores network; following those source links takes you to their sites and their terms. Maps are drawn from OpenStreetMap data.
[placeholder: list any processors — the host, the analytics provider — and the retention period for any data held.]
Your rights
Under EU law you can ask what is held about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to analytics processing. To do any of these, email the address below and I will act on it.
You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).
