I'd book this if you already know how to drive a quad. You follow dirt roads from the north coast to Sete Cidades. It takes 3 to 4 hours. Sharing a quad starts at €79 per adult.
I'd share a quad if you're travelling as a pair. An experienced driver is required. A quad to yourself starts at €120 per adult. Choose the buggy if you lack quad experience.
You meet in Fenais da Luz. There's no hotel pickup. Bring a warm coat and raincoat. Gloves aren't included.

Meet in Fenais da Luz. Start on paved roads before following seafront dirt tracks.
- Muro das Nove Janelas 5 min
Stop by the aqueduct near Serra Devassa.
- Pico da Cruz 10 min
Climb to the viewpoint at 845 m. Look over the Sete Cidades lakes.
- Miradouro das Cumeeiras 10 min
Stop for views over the lakes and north coast. Weather and dirt road conditions affect the viewpoints visited.
- Dirt tracks by Lagoa Azul 30 min
Follow dirt paths around the blue lake.
- Capelas and return to Fenais da Luz
Pass through Capelas on the way back. Follow seafront dirt tracks to the starting point.

On this tour you will be the driver of an quad / ATV and this will probably be the best way to feel and experience this part of São Miguel Island. This tour will take you to the highest points of the mountains that surround Sete Cidades Volcano. The itinerary is On and Offroad and you will have the opportunity to visit some of the trails that are part of the Azores Airlines Rallye.
