Monte Brasil trail PRC04TER
Monte Brasil (PRC04TER) is a circular walk from Relvão park on Terceira. It reaches Pico do Facho and Pico das Cruzinhas above Angra do Heroísmo.
The walk
Allow 2 hours 30 minutes for the 7.5 km loop. Climb past the fortress and Santo António chapel towards Pico do Facho. Circle the caldera past Forte da Quebrada and take the whale lookout detour. Return via Pico das Cruzinhas and descend to Relvão park.
Expect dirt paths, steps and some slippery ground between road sections. Plane trees shade the first climb. Wear walking shoes and carry drinking water.

Getting to the start
Start beside Relvão park in Angra do Heroísmo. Follow the path uphill towards the fortress.
