Furnas lake trail PRC06SMI
Lagoa das Furnas (PRC06SMI) is a circular walk from Furnas village on São Miguel. It climbs Pico do Milho and circles the lake.
The walk
The 9.4 km circuit starts near Largo das Três Bicas. You pass Igreja de Santana and Poça da Dona Beija. Pico do Milho overlooks the valley. The route circles the lake before returning through the village.
The route uses cobblestones and a flat dirt road beside the lake. Take care on the regional road back into Furnas.
