Criação Velha trail through Pico Island vineyards PR05PIC
Vinhas da Criação Velha (PR05PIC) is a linear coastal walk through Pico’s vineyards. It runs from Porto do Calhau to Porto da Areia Larga.
The walk
The 7 km walk starts at Porto do Calhau. It passes Porto do Pocinho before rounding a hill. The vineyards begin beyond Laja das Rosas. The route ends near Ancoradouro at Porto da Areia Larga.
You pass tide wells along the road. Their brackish water serves homes and vineyards. Do not pick the fruit.

This bathing area comes before the vineyards.

Getting to the start
Start at Porto do Calhau. Arrange a pick-up at Porto da Areia Larga to return to the start.
