- Pickup and Vila Franca do Campo
Start at your accommodation or the Emigrant Statue. Travel via Vila Franca do Campo towards Furnas.
- Furnas Lake 30 min
Visit the lake and the area where cozido cooks underground. Volcanic heat cooks the stew.
- Cozido dinner in Furnas 75 min
Dinner at a local restaurant includes cozido and drinks. The meal includes a starter and dessert. Choices outside the dinner menu cost extra.
- Poça da Dona Beija 90 min
Bathe in the thermal pools. Book the 20:30 slot, or 19:00 if unavailable. Entry costs €16 per adult online or €17 through the guide.
- Furnas fumaroles after dark
Visit the village fumaroles at night with your guide. Taste the mineral waters and a local homemade sweet.
- North coast return
Return along the north coast through Ribeira Grande. Pass the tea plantations after they have closed. The meeting-point return is by the Emigrant Statue.
